Dear visitors! From time to time you will find new information about the epoxy resin industry here. Unfortunately, this will be mostly information about regulations, but that's the way it is these days. Anyway, I hope it's worth stopping by here sometimes.
12.10.2026 Epoxy resin: Anti-dumping investigations in Europe and the USA (amended 10.10.2024)
Epoxy resin: Anti-dumping investigations in Europe and the USA 05.07.2024 Following a request from the three epoxy resin producers Olin (Clayton, Missouri / USA), Westlake (Houston, Texas / USA) and Spolchemie (Usti nad Labem / Czech Republic), the European competition authority began an anti-dumping investigation into imports of epoxy resins and prepolymers from China, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand on July 1, 2024. The investigation covers the period between April 2023 and March 2024 and does not include prepregs, paints and other coating products. The so-called Ad Hoc Coalition of Union Epoxy Resin Producers from the three companies claims to account for more than 50 percent of total EU capacity. They are claiming dumping margins of between 10 and 170 percent on the part of companies from the four polluter countries - with the latter being attributed to China. The "Coalition" accuses Asian exporters of offering their material at "unfairly low prices". The USA began a similar investigation at almost the same time. In addition to the four countries mentioned, India has also been part of the investigation since the end of May.
